Keith and Diane recently attended the International Marina and Boatyard Conference held January 14-16, 2020. Their participation also included touring three local marinas on the first day including Pier Sixty-Six in Ft. Lauderdale, Seahaven Marina in nearby Dania Beach and the Derektor’s Shipyard also in Dania Beach. In addition to meeting with many of the more than 120 exhibitors, the couple attended educational seminars in their ongoing commitment to increase their knowledge regarding all marine related matters and accumulating required continuing education credits (CEs) to maintain their SAMS accreditations.

Seminars Keith and Diane attended included: “Engineering with Nature”, “Conflict Resolution”, “Recruiting and Retaining Workers”, “Building a Better Community”, “Women’s Leadership Workshop”, “The Coast Guard is More Than Law Enforcement”, “Leading a Culture of Service Excellence” and Critical Conversations; the Art of Listening and Strategies for Managing Conflict”.

The conference also featured two excellent Keynote Speakers, several opportunities for fellowship and networking as well as attending the Association of Marina Industries annual meeting.
